How to get to America Online

Note: These directions are for America Online v3.0 and Windows95 only. For other platforms or software versions, please contact America Online's technical support hotline.

Step 1

First, start AOL by double-clicking on the America Online icon. You should (eventually!) see the window to the left. Click "Setup".

Step 2

Next, click on Home, then click on Edit Location.

Step 3

Make the window that comes up look exactly like the one above. Then click on "Save", then click on "OK".

Now that your America Online software has been adjusted to work with TCP/IP, all you need to do to get onto America Online is to get connected to the Internet, start up your America Online software, and click "Sign On"!
