CHAFE-PROฎ is used throughout the US Coast Guard, Navy, Army, MSC, NOAA, MARAD and by many foreign military organizations. It's use has proven to be a practical and cost effective means for preventing line chafe. Fjord has been contracted to supply Chafe-Proฎ to U.S. Government agencies and contractors.

CHAFE-PROฎ is available in different lengths
than those listed and it may be custom made to fit any particular need, such as
for use in an eye-splice. The standardญ color for the
99-Series is black. As can be seen in one of the above photographs, Chafe-Proฎ is also ideal for protecting shore service lines (e.g., water, power, phone, and CHT lines).
STANDARD LENGTHS of units used by CG cutters, PCs, USS, and USNS. The below listed units are recommended for mooring/anchor lines and for use on towing hawsers that are used for light to moderate strain towing applications.

For heavy towing, we recommend our Viking Armor Tow Series which is yellow in color.
For smaller vessels, such as those used at CG stations and by CG ANT our yacht grades, which are black in color, are also available. The Barracuda model (pictured below) which measures 18" x 8" is blue in color. Its use is ideal for protecting lines that are used for towing small yachts and for protecting mooring lines.
