High above Tuolumne Meadows, the Granite Lakes Basin feels like the top of
the Sierran world. The great features of Tuolumne are just very small bumps on the
skyline. And the landscape appears to have just been revealed from glaciation. A few
tarns and lakes break up the almost flat landscape. In late summer one tarn had these fall colored
grasses draped along its surface.
The "Granite Lakes Tarn" image is part of the Sealth body of work which are digital images of landscapes, scenics,
and the human form and are based on locations in the Tioga Pass, Yosemite National Park,
High Sierra, Eastern Sierra and Central Coast of California.
