Speculation is that early Playboy magazines were the source for some of the Basque sheepherder carved arborglyphs. However this Femlin like arborglyph may have had a different inspiration.

The "Femlin" term was created by LeRoy Neiman for Playboy and may be a trademark or logo. The "Femlin Arborglyph" image is part of the Sealth body of work which are digital images of landscapes, scenics, and the human form and are based on locations in the Aspen Groves, Mono Lake Basin, Eastern Sierra, High Sierra and Central Coast of California.
