At sunrise, the undulating waves of the Stovepipe Wells sand dunes appear as a churning sea of sand. Even in this part of California, landlocked in Death Valley, surfing seems possible.

The "Dune Surfer" image is part of the Sealth body of work which are digital images of landscapes, scenics, and the human form and are based on locations in the Stovepipe Wells Sanddunes, Death Valley National Park, Eastern Sierra, High Sierra and Central Coast of California.
