Yerba Mansa, "gentle herb" in spanish, propagates by creeping rhizomes. In some
locations such as some streams in the Alabama Hills, they form large masses. The gentle
herb is best known for its extensive medicinal uses however the rhizomes appear to support
a green hammock.
