At 11,121 feet (3341 meters), Ruby Lake is above the treeline in the Little Lakes Valley of the John Muir Wilderness. These tree roots found during a refreshing, quick dip in this Alpine lake must be very special and worthy of a second look.

The "Ruby Lake Roots" image is part of the Sealth body of work which are digital images of landscapes, scenics, and the human form and are based on locations in the Ruby Lake, Little Lakes Valley, John Muir Wilderness, Eastern Sierra, High Sierra and Central Coast of California.
