Cross Country Outfitters, Inc. specializes in
guided, private ranch, wild boar hunts. Our
licensed, bonded Guides are very experienced and are
extremely familiar with the properties we hunt.
With many years experience hunting wild pigs in this
rugged area of California's Central Coast, we can provide
you with an exciting and successful hunt, and you will
have the opportunity to visit some of the state's most
beautiful ranches. Cross Country
Outfitters is located near Paso Robles. This is
traditionally one of the best producing, wild hog hunting
areas in California. Paso Robles is located along
US Highway 101 and is approximately halfway between Los
Angeles and San Francisco.
The ranches we hunt on are, for the
most part, cattle and grain operations. These areas offer
splendid food sources for the pigs to feed upon
throughout the year. There is also heavy brush on
these ranches that is nearly impenetrable. These
thickets provide the wild pigs a secure place to rest
during the daytime. They emerge from their
hideaways in the early morning and late afternoon.
These are the times we hunt, since the hours just after
daylight and just before dark are the most productive pig
harvesting times.
